HIS Drafting & Design was started from a clear realization: everything I have—my experience, my skills, and the opportunities in front of me—are not mine, but HIS. I’m simply called to steward them well.
This business isn’t something I built on my own—it’s something I was led into.
Over the course of my life and career, I’ve seen how God moves—bringing clarity where there was confusion, direction where there was uncertainty, and purpose where there was just work. HIS Drafting & Design is a direct result of that. It’s not just about drafting—it’s about using what I’ve been given to serve others with integrity, excellence, and intention.
My journey didn’t start behind a desk—it started on the shop floor, running machines, working with my hands, and learning how things are actually built.
A pivotal part of that journey was the opportunity I was given at Haas Metal Engineering. Jon Haas took a chance on me and gave me exposure beyond just the shop—into drafting, design, and how a business really operates. That experience helped shape how I see problems, how I lead, and how I serve today. I have also been shaped by strong leaders and mentors—including my Dad, (Ralph Scott), and Troy Krentzel at TK Metals— who helped define my approach to hard work, leadership and accountability.
From there, I grew into drafting and design, working with tools like AutoCAD, Inventor, and Tekla Structures, and eventually into leadership—overseeing full operations, building teams, improving systems, and driving performance.
Through that experience, one truth became clear: most companies don’t struggle because of lack of effort—they struggle because of lack of clarity.
Unclear drawings. Broken processes. Disconnects between leadership, ERP systems, engineering, and the shop floor.
HIS Drafting & Design was built to solve that.
But it goes deeper than drawings.
I’ve learned that real, lasting change in an organization doesn’t start at the bottom—it starts at the top. Leadership sets the tone. Clarity starts there. Accountability starts there. If that foundation is off, everything downstream feels it.
That’s why I don’t just offer drafting support—I bring an operational and leadership mindset. I help clients think through clarity, workflow, and how their projects actually function in the real world—not just how they look on paper.
This company exists to deliver clear, practical, fabrication-ready drawings that reduce rework, improve efficiency, and keep projects moving forward with confidence.
At its core, this business is about stewardship. It’s about doing things the right way, building strong relationships, and serving others with what I’ve been entrusted with.
